Twitter! Twitter!Twitter! That’s what you were hearing a lot this past few weeks or a month. Twitter has been on the hot seat for last few months, specially when celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Oprah are making headlines. Many have been joining Twitter, but according to the recent Nielsen Online research , over 60 percent of Twitter users are not using Twitter after 30 days of joining Twitter. Unlike Facebook, and Myspace Twitter has lower rate of retention. Twitter still has to make its own money…
Are you loyal to Twitter?

It appears that the Twitter hype has begun to flop. Don’t get me wrong, I really believe it was a great concept, but I think our society wasn’t quite ready for it. Social networking as a whole is still the most popular online trend to date. I think what we must focus on right now is the improvement of the social networking model.
I would suggest checking out a recently launched social network, http://www.HopOnThis.com. Not only do you have the same functions as Facebook and MySpace, but members are rewarded with cash and prizes for their social activity on the site.

As far as people losing interest in Twitter after a certain amount of time, I can understand that. All of us have something going every minute of the day either on the phone, computer, texting, or with family, work, and business… of course there’s got to be time when one thing will be put on the back of the stove so to speak. I think after awhile the thrill will be gone with Twitter, and you’ll find fewer people tweating or twittering whatever they do. I think every good thing or new thing will eventually slow down and the masses that first fell for it will get tired of it after awhile. That’s my 2 cents for whatever its worth! JJ
