TrimSpa.com puts a message on Anna Nicole Smith

Posted by internetsalsa in February 8th 2007

Recently, TrimSpa was in the news about being investigated by the authority about its products, and maintained its position saying that its Famous Celebrity Spokeswoman late Anna Nicloe Smith used Trim Spa to loose her weight.

That aside Alex Goen, CEO and Founder, TRIMSPA have put up a message on Trimspa.com on the day Anna passed away.

“Whippany, NJ, February 8, 2007 – Today, Anna Nicole Smith’s grief stricken and tumultuous personal life came to an end. Anna came to our Company as a customer, but she departs it as a friend. While life for Anna Nicole was not easy these past few months, she held dear her husband, Howard K. Stern, her daughter, Dannielynn Hope, her most cherished friends, beloved dogs, and finally, her work with TRIMSPA.

Anna knew both the joy of giving life, and the heartache of losing a child. We pray that she is granted the peace that eluded her more recent days on earth, and that she find comfort in the presence of her son, Daniel.”

Youtube Sharing Revenue???

Posted by internetsalsa in January 29th 2007

Youtube again in the news!!!  According to the news on myway.com, Chad Hurley, co-founder of Youtube, said that Youtube will start sharing some revenue with its millions of users.

There is already a similar site that shares revenue with its users, and its called Revver .  Chad thinks that its about time that they give some reward to its users for creativity, and with growing traffic, its a good oportunity.  This plan will also encourages creativity.

However, it is still unclear about the details of payment.

So what does this mean to other video sharing sites?  Specially to Revver..Should they be worried or concerned?  I would think so, but what can they do to beat Youtube who was recently bought by Google for whopping $1.65 b.

Only time will tell…

Back in the saddle again!!!

Posted by internetsalsa in January 24th 2007

Does that remind you of a song by Aerosmith?   Anyways, I m now back to blogging.  My last post was on October 9th, 2006 when I wrote about Youtube being bought by Google.  Its been almost 4 months since I wrote that.  There are many reasons why I stopped for a while.  Some of them are as follows :-

  • Busy with work, and family (especially newly born son)
  • Was looking for new blogging platform
  • Busy with launching one site (I will tell you about this site soon)

So now I finally swicthed to Wordpress for blogging, but I still need to import posts from my old blog (http://internetsalsa.blogspot.com) .

In the next few days I will be touching on some issues that occured in the last 4 months, and is worth mentioning.

Can Myspace.com win over Itunes?

Posted by internetsalsa in September 5th 2006

Myspace.com, one of the major site has decided to sell music of more than 3 million unsigned bands. They are also working with Paypal for online payment system and don’t forget that Myspace is owned by Newscorp.

I m not sure how this will affect Itunes, becuase Itunes offer signed bands as well and covers about 70% of US market in online digital music.

Other big player to jump is Microsoft who is going to launch “Zune”, which is like a music download store.
